general appearance: Eric inherited his black hair from his father and his emerald green eyes from his mother. His narrow jawbone and slightly enlarged ears are adopted from his Muggle grandparents while his small nose and small mouth lay dominant in his wizard grandparents. Neither side of the family are sure where Eric’s height came from (5’8), none of the family reaching over 5’5.
Eric always tries to look neat and orderly at school, always keeping his robes in the best shape possible. His other clothes are also kept in the best shape possible, but with Eric being very hands on in most subjects, (Care of Magical Creatures and Herbology) so keeping things perfectly clean seems almost impossible some days.

general personality: Due to Eric’s position in the eyes of most of his fellow student, he’s very suspicious of people he does not know. In most classes he’s quiet and tries to go as unknown as possible. In those classes he enjoys, he becomes somewhat more vocal, although he tries not to be too talkative. All around in the eyes of the general population Eric tries to be seen and not heard, for fear of ridicule.
The eldest and only Boot man finds the most pleasure in Arithmancy, Ancient Runes and Herbology, three classes that have little to do with one another. This, to him, is due to his like of doing things hands on. Whether it is dealing with the numbers, interpreting runes or repotting a plant, to Eric, mind and body are united through the use of the skills.
This of course means that in some classes, such as Potions and Care of Magical Creatures, Eric does not grasp that only one part of his being is being challenged. He passes his classes, however his grades are never much higher than the passing level. With his O.W.L.s looming over him next year, Eric struggles to grasp what he needs to so he can pass with feasible O.W.Ls and continue on in the classes he excels in.
When the opportunity arises, Eric does take on a more lively personality. He’s known for being very friendly and talkative around the right people.
This living an almost split personality has its toll on Eric, which manifests itself in trust issues and antisocial tendencies the minute problems appear. His mother also believes that the loss of his father at that early age had a huge impact on the way he interacts with others, even though he was only two at the time.

Biography
childhood and pre-hogwarts: Eric lived in a happy household until his father disappeared at age two. To him, his father was the one person who’d always do something fun, but at the time his disappearance did not hit as hard as it did with others. It was not until he turned five and a letter addressed to him arrived that rocked the family.
Terry had written Eric that he loved him and missed him terribly. Terry had not written before this and that he only addressed his son called suspicion. No one ever said anything, but the letter was kept hidden by Lisa, to protect the family. If no one knew where the letter was, then Terry could not be traced. After the attack on St. Mungo’s they moved out of the public eye, to Worcester the city of Lisa’s forefathers.
There, Terry continued to grow and he formed a very close relationship to his sister, who always led him on all the adventures they partook in. As they continued to grow close, Terry began to look up to her. In fact, they were inseparable to him until she boarded the Hogwarts Express a year before he did.
Eric corresponded with his sister and received a well-rounded look into school life, but he missed his sister. Christmas could not come fast enough though and soon he and his siter were back to having fun. She seemed a bit more distant though and when she returned for summer break, he noticed it. She had found other friends.
Eric received his letter and could not wait to begin school, if only to make friends.
hogwarts years: Eric arrived at Hogswarts, full of wonder and surprise. After being sorted into Ravenclaw and getting settled in, he realized why his sister had changed. All the elitist purebloods and all who knew of his father’s past and did not support it hated him. It was a harsh environment and Eric received very few breaks from people outside his own House.
Eric excelled in school where he excelled and struggled in those classes he struggled in. He found a couple of people to befriend and things were alright. Eric finished Year 3 with decent grade and hopes to finish this year with better grades than his father at this time, (his grandmother had held onto them and given them to Eric).
